Your Host Employer: Fremantle Ports manage the Inner and Outer Harbour ports. The Inner Harbour, located within Fremantle, facilitates all container trade including livestock, motor vehicles and cruise ships. The Outer Harbour, based at Kwinana, is a bulk cargo port servicing imports for clinker, gypsum, fertiliser sulphur, petroleum, and other commodities. Benefits: Possible eligibility for up to $5,000 in first 2 year and access to a Trade Support Loan Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided Receive a nationally recognised trade qualification Supported by a dedicated Maxima Consultant The Role: Join Maxima and Fremantle Ports in a fulltime, entry-level apprenticeship as an Electrician. This is also an opportunity for those entering their 2nd year or above and are looking for a host to complete their apprenticeship. This role will see you working out of Outer Harbour at Kwinana, assisting to undertake maintenance inspections and repairs for electrical control systems, switchboards, and other industrial electrical equipment. Gain hands-on industry experience and study time towards achieving a nationally recognised Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician . Duties Include: Follow and understand the safety aspect of the trade and regulations Install and connect electrical equipment Inspect electrical components Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices Read blueprints and technical diagrams Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures Preventative Maintenance on fixed plant equipment About You: Passion in all things Electrical Enjoy working hands-on Strong work ethic; punctual and reliable Ability to follow directions and work under supervision Demonstrated attention to detail and initiative Possess good physical fitness to perform manual tasks Role Requirements: Current drivers’ licence and access to a reliable vehicle Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test How to Apply: Click Apply and complete the online application form and attach a copy of your resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the available role.
