The Plant Organic Cafe & Market have an exciting opportunity to commence a traineeship with their team About the Business The Plant Organic are a wholefood health and organic market shop with cafe attached. They sell a wide range of organic and gourmet produce. The cafe menu supports their shop offering a wide range of lunch options, coffees, smoothies, and acai bowls. Where possible, they use organic ingredients and aim to provide a variety of options catering for all dietary requirements. The menu therefore offers a range of gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. About the Opportunity The successful candidate will commence a traineeship being supported by the Plant Organic and a nominated Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The trainee position will provide the right candidate with a wealth of experience within the hospitality industry. You will be required to: Work alongside the cook in the kitchen aiding in food preparation Assist with basic baking Operate kitchen equipment Close down the kitchen Operate the dishwasher and washing dishes The trainee will also have the opportunity to learn skills in the front of house setting, making smoothies, acai bowls, an introduction to coffee making, customer service and product knowledge. The Ideal Candidate A genuine desire to work in Hospitality Ability to follow instructions and adhere to policy and procedure in relation to workplace safety and hygiene. A willing work attitude An interest in health and wellbeing An energetic, friendly, polite disposition with an ability to work as a team.
