Their workshop is located in Dandenong and you will be working in a secure, ongoing, supported environment where you will learn from industry leading professionals. To secure this role you will need the following skills and personal attributes: Learn quickly and have an eye for detail Possess a mechanical aptitude Enjoy working in a team and be highly motivated Have a positive approach to workplace safety You will be completing a Certificate III Engineering Mechanical and be trained in the following: Examining and understanding detailed drawings and specifications to determine the requirements for the task Operate and adjust metalworking machines to create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components. Using various techniques which include welding, bolting, and riveting to align, assemble, and fix pieces together to create parts and structures. Set up and operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and CNC machines Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies Mandatory requirements Must be an Australian Citizen or have the right to work in Australia Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is a Group Training Organisation who employs apprentices and trainees and places them with Host Organisations.
