MEGT are currently seeking a Mechanical/HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) Plumbing Apprentice. We are looking for people who are wanting to gain practical experience on the job experience, and attending TAFE while your work towards obtaining your trade qualification in Mechanical Plumbing (Certificate III). If you're starting your Apprenticeship, or already have some experience on the tools, this could be the perfect opportunity for you 1st or 2nd Year Apprentices are encouraged to apply. Our client specialises in refrigerated types of air conditioners including single split systems, multi split systems, ducted refrigerated systems and VRF/VRV systems. In addition they supply and install evaporative cooling systems and ducted gas heating systems. Their work is efficient, effective and environmentally friendly. Based in the Outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, their work is predominantly in the Central Business District and surrounding inner suburbs of Melbourne. What will you be doing? The HVAC/Mechanical Plumbing Apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn and assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and mechanical plumbing systems. This role offers an opportunity for hands-on training, development, and practical experience in the field of Air conditioning. Reading drawings Measuring and marking out Cutting and fixing air conditioning ducts Drilling and fixing brackets Moving materials and housekeeping Testing and commissioning What are we looking for? Drivers licence and car White card Pre apprenticeship (Cert II in Plumbing) is advantageous, but not essential 1st Year trade school completion, but not essential Some experience in using hand tools Commitment and determination to complete a 4 year apprenticeship What's in it for you?
