PROGRAMMED Training Services specialise in the employment of Apprentices and Trainees with our clients and the design and delivery of nationally accredited training. Programmed, in partnership with RoadTek have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanical apprenticeship located in Toowoomba QLD. The apprenticeship will be commencing January 2024. We are seeking applicants that have a passion for mechanics, enjoys hands on work and has a 'Can Do' attitude with a willingness to learn. Throughout the apprenticeship you will be hosted with RoadTek whom have a fleet of Mobile Plant machinery, trucks and vehicles. Duties and benefits within this apprenticeship may include: Inspect, service and repair plant machinery/equipment Diagnostic/repair braking & steering systems, Inspect, service, repair - diagnostic cooling systems, emissions systems and air-conditioning systems Properly maintain material tools and equipment Assist in carrying out light fabrication work Use of hand and power tools Assist in cleaning and keeping the workshops and surrounds tidy Assist with maintaining daily records of plant, labour and materials used Fulltime contract with Annual Leave, Sick Leave and Public Holiday pay Potential career in the industry Able to undertake TAFE studies and complete at a satisfactory level, within a timely manner Comply with safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment and to ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety Legislation Requirements: Minimum of Year 10 school certificate Drivers licence and reliable transport OHS Construction White Card essential prior to commencement TAFE Studies:TAFE will be in Acacia Ridge in Brisbane. Accommodation is provided and fuel allowance is applicable to apprentices. Location:Whilst the Apprenticeship is based in the Boundary Road Toowoomba workshop you will be required to work at times in the surrounding regions to obtain a full scope of the work and experience.
