Bechtel’s internship program was created to cultivate real-life industry interest based on hands-on experience. Many new university graduate hires began their careers at Bechtel as a student intern. About the Project: After more than 35 years operating as a successful uranium mine, the Ranger Project is entering its rehabilitation stage. Bechtel are working alongside ERA and major stakeholder Rio Tinto to restore the land to the status of its surrounding World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park. A collaborative project, this project is being developed in consultation with the Mirarr Traditional Owners and will benefit the Jabiru community. About the Role: Our internships run as a 10-week program over the university summer holidays commencing in November 2023. This is an opportunity to support the project office based in Brisbane, Australia. During this time, you’ll see first-hand how our business works and take on tasks related directly to the construction of the project and internal initiatives, all which will give you valuable industry experience – all while having a real impact on our organization. About You: To be considered, you must be: your second or third year of your degree at an accredited university in one of the fields list above, and, an Australian citizen or have the right to permanently work and remain in Australia without sponsorship able to pass any pre-employment requirements such as a drug screen and background check.
