We have an opportunity for an Intern to join our Managed Equipment Services (MES) team based at Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH), WA. In this exciting and diverse role, you will be involved in the commercial management of a range of medical technology vendors. The contracts internship is available for a 12 month period and requires candidates to be available a minimum of 3 days per week. This opportunity may be best suited for students looking to gain practical workplace experience and who are willing to reduce the number of enrolled subjects for a semester or two. Siemens are flexible around periods of exams and assessments. Your tasks and responsibilities: Attend key customer procurement meetings with clinical staff and act as the point of contact for specific modalities of medical equipment. Assist in the end-to-end co-ordination, delivery and review of key commercial documentation. Interrogate contract terms in order to manage issues with the medical technology vendors to achieve desired outcomes. Provide a clear communication link between the Siemens operations team and the medical technology vendor community, by providing timely updates, issue escalation and feedback. Interface with all relevant parties to ensure the successful delivery of monthly contract reporting within strict deadlines. Help to ensure contracted deliverables, obligations, and governance commitments are met by subcontractors. Maintain communication standards for both internal and external stakeholders and develop relationships with subcontractors. Your qualifications and experience: You are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree related to Business and Law. You have a good grasp of business etiquette and can function in a modern, professional workplace with colleagues from Siemens. You have an appetite to learn and a keen interest in the healthcare industry and its intersection with commercial management. You have a solid understanding of business English and can communicate effectively in a business meeting setting. Your attributes and skills: You possess investigative and analytical skills including the ability to use databases and reporting systems and have strong MS Excel skills, and You have a keen eye for ensuring a high standard of written deliverables and a willingness to accept feedback from others. To be eligible for this position you are required to have Australian or New Zealand permanent residency or citizenship at the time of your application and be able to provide evidence of your eligibility to work in Australia.
