Role purpose Safer Prescribing Team Pharmacy Student Interns assigned to the Safer Prescribing Team provide administrative support on processing and assessing Schedule 8 treatment permit applications, notifications and provide various project support including SafeScript projects. Health Practitioner Compliance Monitoring Unit Pharmacy Student Interns assigned to the Health Practitioner Compliance Monitoring Unit provide administrative and operational support in the investigation of and intervention in unlawful or unsafe practitioner conduct. They also contribute to general compliance and education projects. Key accountabilities Operating at value range 1, you will: SPT – assist with processing of Schedule 8 treatment permit applications and notifications HPCM – under direction, assist with the investigation of, and intervention in, unlawful or unsafe conduct provide administrative project support perform routine administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner, including photocopying and registering, filing, delivering and despatching mail and other office papers accurately maintain basic office equipment and ensure stationery and other basic office equipment needs are met suggest improvements and work in collaboration to implement the agreed solutions keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services. Specialist expertise Demonstrated knowledge of the workings of community and hospital pharmacy, preferably with working experience in either or both. Knowledge and skills Computer skills: understands the purpose of, and is able to use, common software applications for word processing and email. Written communication: prepares basic letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language; organises information in a logical sequence, includes content appropriate for the purpose and audience. Interpersonal skills: polite and considerate in dealing with others; aware of people's moods and temperament. Self-management: accepts responsibilities for own actions; focuses on the most important goals; has a realistic and balanced view of own strengths and weaknesses; recognises own feelings and personal prejudices and understands why they occur. Qualifications Currently completing third year pharmacy degree, to commence fourth year pharmacy degree in 2024.
