Programmed Training Services, in partnership with Yara Pilbara, is recruiting First Nations applicants to undertake a Logistics and Materials Handling Traineeship in Karratha.Programmed is committed to improving employment opportunities and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The position is therefore only open to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicants.ABOUT YARA PILBARALocated on the beautiful Burrup Peninsular, Yara Pilbara is home to one of the world's largest ammonia production facilities which produces fertiliser to help feed the world. Along with the fertiliser plant is the Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) Plant which produces essential products for the Australian mining industry.Yara Pilbara is also at the forefront of efforts in Western Australia to develop a pioneering renewable hydrogen hub in the Pilbara.ABOUT THE ROLEThis traineeship is a two-year program, where you will work towards achieving nationally recognised certificates, licences & training including:Certificate III in Supply Chain OperationsForkliftIT LoaderSkid SteerWorking at HeightsConfined Space and Gas TestWeighbridge OperationsEmergency ResponseLoad RestraintWorking within the Technical Ammonium Nitrate Logistics Team, the successful applicants will be trained in the day to day operation of the Logistics and Material Handling areas, this included but is not limited to:Operating Fixed Plant: conveyor, screening, truck loading & bulk bag filling systemsBulk liquid transfer and samplingOperating Mobile Plant: Reclaiming product for screening, loading/unloading trucks & general freight movementGeneral maintenanceLiaising with external logistics providers to ensure trucks are received and dispatched in a safe and timely mannerThis traineeship is delivered over a two-year term where training will be provided both on-the-job and at North Regional TAFE, Karratha Campus with significant career progression opportunities within the Yara network.SKILLS & EXPERIENCETo be successful, you will ideally have:Completed secondary education to Year 12; or Year 11 and evidence of further work experience or study.A current C class driver's licenseThe ability to adapt to working 12 hour shifts (including nightshifts), under physical and challenging conditionsA willingness to work as part of a teamProblem-solving skillsComputer skillsThe ability to pass a pre-employment medical and regular drug & alcohol screening testsThe ability to obtain a Dangerous Goods Security Card & Maritime Security Identification CardRECOGNITION & REWARDWhat you can expect from us:Excellent roster - 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off, plus rostered time off, and annual leave.Competitive entry level pay rate; Year 1 $68,250 p.a. | Year 2 $73,500 p.a.Values in action.Commitment to your ongoing development.Significant career progression opportunities within the Yara network.WHO WE AREAs a nationally recognised training organisation, Programmed Training Services helps you become fully qualified by offering a range of apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities.At Programmed, we are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment which values and respects diverse styles, backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.We welcome and encourage women, people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent and people from diverse backgrounds to applySo it's over to you.
