ABOUT YOU: You must: be studying a relevant degree qualification or a recent graduate. have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. have the necessary technical and soft skills to perform the job. have years of relevant accounting experience (adjust based on level) have strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and reporting requirements. have experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, SAP). have advanced Microsoft Excel skills. be able to work at least 3 days per week. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and maintain financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) Manage general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Reconcile bank statements and company accounts Prepare and lodge BAS, GST, and other tax obligations Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws and regulations Support internal and external audits Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Provide financial insights and recommendations to management LOCATION The host company is located at Melbourne.
