About the role As a Governance Trainee, with Moorabool Shire council , you will work a Fulltime, Monday to Friday roster whilst completing a Certificate III in Business Administration . This role will see the successful trainee supporting the day-to-day operations to keep things running smoothly. They will assist in Council meetings and maintain governance systems and be at the heart of local government activities. All the while, being exposed to a world of career possibilities. What you will be doing Provide administrative support to the Governance and Civic Support team Assist in maintaining governance systems and databases Help prepare Council meeting agendas and minutes Conduct research and assist with report preparation Communicate effectively with team members and the public Participate in regular training and development to enhance your knowledge and skills Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations What we are looking for Driver’s License (desirable) Current Working with Children Check and Police Check Completion of year 12 Eager to learn, take direction and gain feedback Well-presented, well-spoken and customer driven Strong communication skills Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure Positive attitude and willingness to learn Team-oriented mindset Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Commitment to participating in and completing a 12-month traineeship About AGA Starting a career begins well before you get your first job — it begins with training.
