The Role: Location: Salisbury South SA Duration: 36-month Traineeship As an Irrigation Technician Trainee , you will support the installation, servicing and maintenance of irrigations systems within the local council area. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include: Install and maintain and audit pressurised irrigation systems Troubleshoot and repair irrigation system faults Read and interpret irrigation plans Implement efficient irrigation schedules Install and terminate low voltage wiring systems About You: To be successful in this Traineeship, you’ll need to: Enjoy working outdoors and with garden tools Be committed, reliable and hardworking Manage and prioritise time when working under pressure Work effectively in a team Good communication skills Have a can-do attitude, displaying initiative on the job Eligibility Criteria: Provisional or full driver’s licence and own vehicle Physically fit and healthy due to undertake manual labour work Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or similar (advantageous) About Maxima: Maxima is a leading Group Training Organisation – we manage recruitment, placement and ongoing support of trainees and apprentices on behalf of our host employers.
