Job Description Now, about this role… We are seeking an adaptive and outcome focused Technology and Data Risk professional who will help with challenging and building our risk capabilities around data led experiences, technology transformation projects and digital initiatives. This internship is a 12-week opportunity, 3 days per week, and is perfect for a recent graduate looking to pursue a career in Technology and Data Risk. If you thrive on: - Getting your hands dirty to manage risks related to technology and data - Working with first line technology team, data team, and business assurance teams to ensure there is consistent management of risks and controls and adherence to governance structures and frameworks - Working in an agile and collaborative environment, bringing your own capabilities, experiences and knowledge to help Judo Bank strengthen the foundations Then, this opportunity might just be your dream job: - Providing support to GM Risk Technology, Data and Cyber Security, in driving governance, oversight and continuous improvement of the technology and data risk management practices of the business and first line risk teams - Supporting the definition and implementation of the information and technology risk strategy of the second line of defence - Championing and influencing stakeholders to ensure all our technology risks are well understood, managed, and maintained to comply with regulatory obligations - Providing advice, oversight, education and training as relevant, to the holistic management of technology, data, artificial intelligence (AI), and model risk, including contributions to risk appetite, framework, policy and other risk management activities - Supporting broader Judo initiatives to help first- and second-line risk and compliance activities in relation to internal and prudential requirements (e.g., APS310, CPS220, CPS231 or CPS230, CPS234, CPG235, etc.) - Supporting the other teammates in second-line risk team with data governance, data risk oversight, data elements and quality reviews Desired Skills and Experience A little bit about you… This role is designed for someone who is curious, motivated and looking to launch a career in the Technology and Data Risk space. It’s a 3-day-per-week internship over 12 weeks, ideal for recent graduates with an interest in this field. The points below reflect what we would typically expect in an experienced Technology and Data Risk Analyst and should be used as a guide - the scope and complexity of the internship will be aligned with where you’re at in your journey. The skills you’ve picked up along the way: - Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas and concepts - Ability to draft risk papers and thematic reports for key stakeholders, management and risk committees - Ability to engage with technology teams, engineers and leadership in a constructive and collaborative relationship - Competent and self-driven work ethics to ensure that the programs of work are prioritised and delivered in line with the strategy Your life pre-Judo: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience of 5 years in Technology and/or Data Risk Management. Experience in AI or Model Risk Management is desirable - Experience in risk management or audit role with a technology and regulatory compliance focus - Ability to work under broad direction, deal with competing demands, manage multiple initiatives and effectively manage expectations of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment - Ability to work autonomously, assign prioritisation, and openly discuss ideas and ways to improve - Industry certifications such as CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor Practitioner, COBIT Foundation Certificate, etc. are recommended.
