EDT is looking for an Accounts intern for its Sydney office. You will be treated as one of the team and gain experience in busy office in the Sydney CBD. You will work with highly experienced individuals with many years in accounts and will gain a wealth of experience in your time here. We are looking for bright, fun individuals that thrive on learning and want to be involved with a team. Whether you are fresh out of Uni or looking for some local experience in the Australian market we want to hear from you. You will be involved with and learn the following: Statutory reports: Administration, Compliance and Remittances GST/PAYG/IAS/BAS Payroll Tax Superannuation Insurance: Administration, Compliance and Remittances Bookkeeping and accounts analysis: Expenses and payables Costs management/control Management reporting General administrative and operations support You will get to work with various internal and external accounting systems including Xero and various government and superannuation online systems. You will need to be: Smart in appearance and presentation Punctual and timely in all that you do Able to adhere to EDT’s processes, policies and procedures Be articulate and have excellent written and verbal communication skills Diligent in record keeping and have an attention to detail Computer literate (Microsoft Suite, basic Xero) Very resourceful Team player Self motivated Willing to work in an office 4 days a week Any prior experience would be a distinct advantage whether here or overseas. The successful candidate will hold the minimum of an Accounting degree. EDT has a very high success rate in Interns moving into paid roles at EDT or one of the companies in the group so this is a great opportunity not just to gain experience but to start a great career
