This traineeship involves working within a Catholic School Early Childhood Education & Care setting for pre-school, after school, and school holiday care arrangements. Work & Training are a large employer of trainees and apprentices in Tasmania, and provide a supportive pathway into a lifelong career, in a vocation you will love. What would this involve? You would be employed by Work & Training for the duration of your training contract. Full time hours. Full entitlements including four weeks of holidays per year. You would receive mentoring and support throughout the traineeship. Your workplace supervisors would provide daily coaching and opportunity for growth. Gain valuable experience on the job: Conducting indoor and outdoor activities with the children. Liaising with parents regarding each child's care requirements, and providing a reflection of the day. Working as part of a dedicated team of carers. Desired skills and attributes: Prior customer service skills an advantage. A passion for working within the childcare sector. Previous baby sitting or childcare experience. High level literacy and numeracy skills – aptitude tests will be undertaken as part of the recruitment process. A Certificate II VET qualification in this area. A desire to obtain a Nationally recognised Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care.
