Indigenous Business Administration/Receptionist Traineeship ABOUT THE BUSINESS Established in 1994, Pilbara Meta Maya Regional Aboriginal Corporation is a not-for-profit organisation who provides essential and community services to remote Aboriginal communities across the Pilbara, Gascoyne, and Mid-West regions of Western Australia. They also manage accommodation at Mirnutharntu Maya (meaning accommodation to support learning) located in South Hedland which is a 48 bedroomed facility designed for individuals to reside while undertaking training and education. ABOUT THE TRAINEESHIP Pilbara Meta Maya Regional Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a full-time trainee for their Burswood office. As a trainee, you'll be enrolled to complete a qualification in Business Administration supported by the employer and a nominated Registered Training Organisation (RTO). General duties may include, but not limited to: Greet, welcome, and sign-in all visitors at reception Direct visitors to the appropriate person Answer, screen, and forward inbound calls Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and materials available (brochures, pens, forms) Daily restock of paper for printers and photocopiers Assist staff with photocopying, binding, scanning, and printing requirements Prepare boardrooms for meetings and maintain general tidiness Collect, open, scan, and record incoming mail Complete banking runs when required Escort employees to and from the airport when required The ideal candidate will possess: Great written and verbal communication skills Customer service experience Proven time management skills Able to demonstrate initiative Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite experience (desirable) Experience working in non-profit sector (desirable) Experience working for an Aboriginal Corporation (desirable) Driver's license (essential) Australian Aboriginality is a genuine occupational requirement of this position under 50D of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984.
