Based in London, NBCUniversal International Studios’ in-house production labels include: Carnival Films, Monkey Kingdom and Australian-based Matchbox Pictures. It also operates a prolific global formats business, which licenses and produces content in over 70 territories worldwide. Matchbox Pictures is looking for a Production intern to be based in either its Sydney or Melbourne office. Ideal candidates should have a strong interest in a career in TV production. This part time role requires a 9-month commitment, as this program is from March 2025 - Dec 2025 To be eligible for this internship, you MUST be studying for the duration of the internship You also MUST include a cover letter stating why you would like to work for Matchbox Pictures, and what you feel you can bring to the company. This is part of the application process. Job Description - Assisting with funding applications to Screen Australia and state funding agencies. - Corresponding with creatives (or their agents) and content commissioners in relation to the production of scripted and unscripted content. - Corresponding with production crew about general Matchbox production process queries. - Archiving production paperwork and data upon completion of shoot and post. - Organising production meetings for internal and external teams - Managing production applications – Dropbox, Scenechronize etc - Such other tasks and day to day support as may be reasonably required by the Production team members in connection with Matchbox’s business. Qualifications - Proficient in Microsoft Office suite - Understands the production process and stages. - Detail oriented and organised. - Able to work under pressure and with tight deadlines. - Ability to take initiative and work independently. - Excellent communication skills and a great team player. - Australian citizen or permanent resident. - Actively completing tertiary studies in Legal, Arts, Film or Television, during the 2025 year.
