We are seeking applicants that have a passion for mechanics, enjoy hands on work and has a 'Can Do' attitude with a willingness to lear The position is located in Dandenong South, VIC What we are offering: Above award hourly pay rate Nationally Accredited Training Hands-on experience with a globally recognised company and ongoing coaching, mentoring and support to complete Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology A supportive and encouraging work environment A long-term career opportunity A highly experienced team to work with Personal Growth Development and Mentoring Program Opportunity to obtain forklift ticket and other additional high risk licences Snap-on Starter tool kit for your Apprentice journey Working as an Apprentice you will be exposed to a variety of tasks which may include: Fault finding and resolving mechanical issues (repairs, removals, installations) Troubleshoot braking systems, steering and cooling systems Maintenance of equipment including brakes and suspension Assemble, fit, clean and lubricate machined parts using a range of tools and equipment Trouble shoot electrical faults and complete electrical Prepare new machines for sales team Complete scheduled servicing Machine and component rebuilds Trouble shoot hydraulic faults To be considered you must have the following: Keen interest in Mobile Plant Equipment and Heavy Vehicle repair and maintenance Ability to assess workplace risk Enthusiastic and strong work ethic Computer literacy is required for service reports, and parts and schematics whilst trouble shooting Able to obtain a police clearance Current driver's licence preferred but not essential TAFE Studies: TAFE Will be in completed in blocks and commitment is of the utmost importance for progression in this apprenticeship. Prior to offer of employment the successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical examination 'fit for work' (including passing a drug and alcohol screen).
