You will be combining full-time work and have allocated time each week at work to complete your Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management. The Traineeship will involve but limited to: Implement an irrigation-related environmental protection program Survey pests Recover four-wheel drive vehicle Provide basic animal first aid Apply health, safety and risk controls when working on oiled shorelines Follow Aboriginal cultural protocols Assist with planned burning Elective Units will range across different categories: Indigenous Land Management Ecological Restoration Lands, Parks and Wildlife Conservation Earth Works Pest Controller Marine Fire Mined land and Rehabilitation & General What will you bring to the role? The team will help you develop during the traineeship, but there are some minimum requirements and key traits we’re looking for: Good Communication and interpersonal skills. Manual drives licence (highly regarded) and reliable transport White Card (or willing to obtain) Enjoys working or being outdoors and can demonstrate a genuine passion for the environment, conservation and regeneration work. Basic knowledge of current technology and software applications. Be a self-starter with initiative who is willing to learn new processes and develop additional skills. Possess a high level of motivation in performing routine duties. Strong focus on quality of work whilst maintaining attention to detail and accuracy Who We Are : Community Solutions is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland.
