The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain workplace experience whilst undertaking a Traineeship in - Certificate II in Surface Extraction Operations (RII20220) The 12-month traineeships comprise of training, coaching and skills development which includes: Safety Knowledge. Teamwork. Exposure to and working with mechanical, production operators and electrical teams. Hands-on skills. To be successful in the role, you will need to have: Ability to work flexible hours including rosters up to 12 hours per day. Ability to complete a Certificate II in Surface extraction Completion of year 10 (highly desirable). A valid Driver Licence (or ability to acquire licence by the completion of the program). Genuine desire to build a career in Oil & Gas Working across one of Santos' assets in Western Australia - Perth Head Office, Devil Creek Gas Plant & Varanus Island, the traineeships will be a mix of hands-on practical experience and classroom lessons. The positions are open to those who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander school leavers wanting to start a career in oil and gas to mature-aged people looking to try something new.
