Programmed Training Services in partnership with Santos are working to create job opportunities for people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. These opportunities can act as a pathway into our Operations and Maintenance Apprenticeships and Production Operations Traineeship programs, providing an exciting career in the energy sector. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain workplace experience whilst undertaking a Traineeship in - Certificate II in Surface Extraction Operations (RII20220) The 12-month traineeships comprise of training, coaching and skills development which includes: Safety Knowledge. Teamwork. Exposure to and working with mechanical, production operators and electrical teams. Hands-on skills. To be successful in the role, you will need to have: Ability to work flexible hours including rosters up to 12 hours per day. Ability to complete a Certificate II in Surface extraction Completion of year 10 (highly desirable). A valid Driver Licence (or ability to acquire licence by the completion of the program). Genuine desire to build a career in Oil & Gas Working across one of Santos' assets in Western Australia - Perth Head Office, Devil Creek Gas Plant & Varanus Island, the traineeships will be a mix of hands-on practical experience and classroom lessons. The positions are open to those who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander school leavers wanting to start a career in oil and gas to mature-aged people looking to try something new.
