The training will also cover oral pathology, dental equipment, physiology and oral surgery. At the end of the traineeship, you will have obtained a National qualification in Dental Assisting, which can be utilised in any Dental Practice around Australia. What would this involve? Work Monday to Friday in the Dental Practice for a period of 12 months. Train to assist dentists and hygienists chair-side. Gain an understanding of the instruments & dental tools used. Train in sterilisation techniques for equipment. Learn all about infection control. Gain an understanding regarding oral pathology and physiology. Obtain a good understanding of the administrative aspect of Dental Assisting. Full entitlements including four weeks of paid holidays per year. National Training Wage applies.
