We, at COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS are seeking mature and junior age candidates committed in completing a Skilled Construction Worker – Road Construction and Maintenance Traineeship (Certificate III in Civil Construction - 3 years fulltime) located in Mackay. The successful candidates must have a good understanding and a desire to work in this industry. Your labour experience and the ability to work on rotating shifts in a large safety-first organisation will be essential. The Traineeship will involve but not limited to: Learn to read plans and overviews, follow and implement Carry out measurements and calculations Maintenance and repair on all types of road works Operate small plant and equipment Implementation of traffic management plans Working in various weather conditions Willing to work a roster including weekends, days and nights Essential Qualifications: Construction White Card (or willing to obtain) Manual driver’s license (or must be committed to obtain within 6 months) CPR (desirable) Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical with drug and alcohol testing What we offer you : Above award wages including access to Salary packaging Full-time 3-year Civil Construction Traineeship (with the ability to complete earlier) Work for a Government Organisation that specialises in delivering transport Infrastructure solutions throughout Queensland Who We Are?
