How does the Traineeship work This traineeship is a structured program combining study and work that offers you an exciting opportunity to start a career in the field of your choice. This traineeship is ideal for someone who wants to start or change their career. This traineeship allows you to study online at your convenience. You will be paid a salary of about $46,000 per year during the traineeship which could be bumped up to $66,000 per year after the completion of the traineeship. What is an Administrative Assistant Traineeship? An Administrative Assistant, sometimes referred to as a Clerical Assistant, is a position dedicated to helping professionals in a given industry. While the duties may change depending on the company, in general, Administrative Assistants perform clerical duties, manage workflow, schedule appointments and serve as the main point of contact for an office. Day-to-day Tasks: Answering the phone and directing calls or taking messages Office supplies and stationery orders Photocopying, faxing, filing, typing, labelling and other general office duties Processing purchase orders and payments Data entry to maintain inventory journals and customer databases Petty Cash processing Liaise with suppliers and couriers for purchase orders, shipments and freights Personal Assistant to Managing Director Assisting concerned managers with accounts receivable/payable, payroll, marketing projects, operational coordination duties etc. To be eligible for this traineeship, you must: Be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident, Have excellent communication and organisational skills, Be committed to completing a Certificate course in your field of work within a year. Must not have completed a traineeship or any qualification higher than Cert II within the last 7 years. Overseas qualifications are OK. How much does it cost? $0. Trainees are eligible for subsidised training with the NSW Government paying up to 100% of the cost of the course. Some course fees may apply in other states but you can apply for a study loan.
