The Role: Maxima, and the City of Burnside, are looking for a motivated individual to undertake a Community Services Traineeship within the Community Connections team. The Community Connections Trainee is responsible for providing administrative, program, services and event support to the team. Throughout this 12-month, fulltime opportunity you will gain hands-on experience, paid training and continuous mentoring towards gaining a nationally recognised Certificate III in Community Services. Duties Include: Provide high quality customer service, in person and over the phone Provide administrative support and maintain appropriate documentation and records Assist with marketing, advertising and promotion of programs and events; including social media Assist with scheduling team meetings, including creating and distributing an agenda and minutes. Create purchase orders and receipt invoices Prepare volunteer induction packs, initiating training, and providing event support Assist the team to develop and deliver the school holidays program About You: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong work ethic; punctual and reliable Great time management and organisation skills Ability to multitask to meet deadlines Friendly and approachable Thrives working with team environments and independently Role Requirements: National Police Check (or willing to obtain) Previous customer service experience (desirable) Strong computer knowledge including Microsoft Office How to Apply: Click Apply and complete the online application form, attaching a copy of your resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the available role.
