This is a permanent, full time vacancy ABOUT THE ROLE The Rehabilitation and Reintegration Branch (R&R) leads the development and coordinated implementation of offender rehabilitation programs, interventions and services with the aim of improving offenders’ lives and reducing the likelihood of re-offending. This includes ensuring appropriate assessment and case management practices are in place to assess rehabilitation and reintegration needs and that suitable programs and services are available and delivered. R&R consists of the following business areas: Sentence Management; Clinical Governance and Innovation; Assessment and Intervention; Education, Employment and Transitional Services; Offender Programs and Contract Management and Reintegration Services. The Education Employment and Transitional Services unit (EETS) works towards assisting students to acquire, develop, practice and apply the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need now and, in the future, to take responsible control of their own lives. The Coordinator Traineeships coordinates and administers the delivery and expansion of the traineeship program across the State’s prisons while continuously developing, implementing and reviewing new employment initiatives and future directions to identify new traineeship opportunities. This position continuously evaluates and monitors service and program delivery to ensure program integrity and compliance with the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 and Standards for Registered Training Organisation (2015), State industrial legislation requirements and Department of Training and Workforce Development administrative requirements. As a requirement for this position the successful applicant will need to possess a 'C' class driver's license. Please provide examples to support you claims Extensive knowledge of the Apprenticeship and Pre-Apprenticeship training programs with particular emphasis on the traineeship program. Knowledge of Commonwealth and Department of Training and Workforce Development regulations and procedures governing traineeship enrolment. Demonstrated broad-based experience in the delivery of training in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. Experience in evaluating and monitoring training programs to ensure program integrity and compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisation (2015). The ability to effectively coordinate, lead and supervise the delivery of a broad-based training program ensuring that set targets and outcomes are achieved within a given timeframe.
