The RoleThis apprenticeship is designed to provide a comprehensive practical and theoretical base that enables the development of mechanical skills to assist in maintaining and enhancing the availability and integrity of Local Council equipment including but not limited to the following: Buses, Cars, Ride-on Mowers, Trucks, Construction Equipment, Utes, and minor hand-held equipment. High priority will also be given to developing safety awareness and safe working practices.If you have a positive attitude, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, you enjoy hands-on learning and are passionate about making a career within the role, then you are encouraged to apply.You must also be available to undertake a numeric, literacy, abstract and mechanical reasoning aptitude test and attend a pre-employment medical which includes Drug and Alcohol screening.
