About the role The main objective for the Global Infrastructure (GI) Research Intern is to contribute to research projects which are allocated based on individual experience and areas of expertise. Where it is appropriate, interns may also be provided with exposure to specific transactions or asset management activities. Potential areas of research include topics related to energy, renewables, healthcare, transport, emerging infrastructure sectors, sustainability, technology, regulation, and policy. Selection and assignment of specific research topic(s) will occur at the commencement of the internship program. As part of this internship opportunity, students will develop a deeper understanding of infrastructure investment drivers based on the allocated research topic. Additionally, students will be provided exposure to a variety of roles, responsibilities, sectors, and geographies as part of working within the Global Infrastructure team at QIC to help further a potential career in infrastructure. The key accountabilities are comprised of and not limited to: Research on infrastructure trends that are relevant for investment and asset management. Research on current and future investment opportunities that may arise from these trends. Assist with the coordination of projects and new initiatives across Global Infrastructure while demonstrating good project management practices. Be a reliable and professional team member of both Global Infrastructure and more broadly across QIC. Develop strong relationships within the Global Infrastructure team and where applicable other QIC teams. About you Strong interest in investment / funds management, specifically global infrastructure markets. Strong academic record. Strong communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated strong quantitative and analytical ability. Exceptional Business writing. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Excellent attention to detail. Strong time management and organization skills and the ability to work to deadlines. A strong team player approach and the desire to assist others. Excellent Interpersonal skills and written communication skills. Pro-active and hard-working mentality.
