DDH1 Drilling covers the cost of this certificate and future certifications in drilling, giving you qualifications for life and a stable long-term career path. While you don’t need industry experience, the role of an Offsider is physically demanding and will see you working in all weather conditions. You need to be fit, enjoy working in the outdoors and have manual labour experience. This is a FIFO position for remote exploration or mine-site locations on 4:2 or 2:1 rosters. What we’re looking for: • Full Manual Drivers licence - unrestricted • Heavy Rigid Licence - must be acquired within 3 months of commencing. • Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID011 • COVID-19 Vaccination • Manual labour experience • Current Police Clearance Duties of an Offsider: • Mobilising the rig from one set-up to another • Handling core – removing from tube, placing in core boxes and labelling box • Handling drilling rods and core tubes • Mixing drill fluid additives • Cleaning equipment and keeping work area clean • Assisting with equipment maintenance and repairs.
