This 12-month fulltime opportunity will see you working within the Asset Maintenance Team assisting to manage the assets and maintenance of council owned buildings. This includes site assessments of dwellings, arranging maintenance and coordinating trades. You will develop skills and knowledge in a variety of areas with paid study towards achieving a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Project Management Practice . This role is best suited to someone with a trade background looking to take the next step in their career. Duties Include: Conduct regular site assessments and audits of council owned dwellings as per maintenance schedule Plan and implement cost-effective and quality facility services at all council owned dwellings including maintenance Manage facilities master planning, capital works projects, new projects and refurbishment projects Arrange and coordinate trades as per maintenance schedule About You: Effective problem-solving skills Sound communication skills; written and verbal Ability to organise and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines Driven to succeed Can identify areas to take initiative Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and environments Role Requirements: Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle Proficient computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Office Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test How to Apply: Click Apply and complete the online application form and attach a copy of your resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the available role.
