This 12-month fulltime opportunity will see you assisting to ensure our City’s assets, including streets, parks and other public spaces are attractive, clean, well presented and maintained. You will develop skills and knowledge in a variety of areas with hands-on experience, and paid study towards achieving a nationally recognised Certificate III in Cleaning Operations . Duties Include: Carry out tasks associated with the cleansing of Council’s public spaces and facilities including street sweeping and graffiti removal Complete planned and reactive tasks including cleaning, pressure washing, blowing leaves and street sweeping Drive and operate plant and equipment including daily maintenance checks and reporting of issues Remove and dispose of general litter and hazardous objects/materials About You: Enjoy working outdoors and hands on Strong work ethic; reliable and punctual Ability to prioritise time and tasks when working under pressure Works effectively within a team and unsupervised Great communication skills Have a can-do attitude and willing to learn Role Requirements: Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test How to Apply: Click Apply and complete the online application form and attach a copy of your resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the available role.
