Work & Training is excited to offer this amazing full-time apprenticeship in Engineering – Metal Fabrication Trade. Based with our wonderful Host Business. What can you gain from completing an apprenticeship through Work & Training? You would be employed by Work & Training - the largest employer of Apprentices and Trainees in Tasmania, and hosted for the duration of your apprenticeship. You would be part of a committed team and under guidance of the Business owner. Theory training is conducted at TasTAFE. Your Work & Training Business Consultant provides ongoing mentoring and employment support. On completion of your apprenticeship, you would receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering – (MEM31922) On the job you will: Assist with projects and designs to create solutions in industrial settings. Learn how to fit, assemble and weld metal parts and components to machines and other equipment. Develop your technical skills and produce metal structures and equipment. Do you have? A genuine interest in the trade or a Certificate III in Engineering Pathways qualification. Sound technical skills and a practical hands-on approach. Reliability and commitment to the position, along with a solid work ethic. Understanding of safe work practices. Ability to follow detailed instructions and a willingness to learn on the job. Essential requirements: Drivers Licence and a reliable vehicle. (Daily travel to Hamilton is required) White Card Ability to pass a pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing. Wage: National Training Wage applies to this apprenticeship opportunity.
