UVTHC is a combined large animal and small animal hospital with access to a range of specialist services, expertise, and equipment to offer excellent care to our patients. In the Veterinary Internship in Livestock Health and Production position, you will provide best-practice veterinary services in livestock medicine to first opinion and referral clients of the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Camden. Post graduate interns have a responsibility for diagnosis, treatment and management of in house and ambulatory cases. You will be supervised by the Unit Head of Livestock Veterinary Services and will provide close supervision of clinical year veterinary students rotating through the hospital. To learn more about the Sydney School of Veterinary Science click here Your key responsibilities will be to: provide veterinary services to clients of the Livestock Veterinary Services under the supervision of senior clinicians ensure all client services are provided at a high standard which includes accurate and timely billing, record keeping, vehicle stock control and client follow-up ensure all equipment and vehicles are handled with care, kept clean and appropriately maintained practice and promote professional standards of biosecurity, morbidity and mortality reporting assist in the training and supervision of undergraduate veterinary students both in a clinical setting and in practical classes contribute to after hours and weekend rosters for Livestock Veterinary Services actively participate in study groups, clinical rounds and journal club provide clinical services into other clinical departments under supervision as agreed between Supervisor and relevant Unit Head.
