Macquarie Group is seeking talented and ambitious technology students who are keen to join our organisation as summer interns commencing November 2013. This is a unique opportunity for motivated individuals who want to gain valuable paid full time work experience over the 2013/2014 summer break.

Technology opportunities are available in the following groups:

• Corporate Operations Group (Technology Division):
Macquarie’s Technology Division is responsible for the management of Macquarie’s technology infrastructure, the support and development of existing business systems as well as the delivery and deployment of new systems, technologies and services. It comprises business aligned teams which provide dedicated and specialist services to businesses as well as central teams which provide shared services, such as infrastructure, to multiple businesses.

• Banking and Financial Services Group (Project and Change Delivery):
Opportunities in the PCD team focus on business analysis including investigating and documenting business requirements, writing and executing tests and delivering changes. You will be exposed to the full range of business activities within the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and work closely with stakeholders within the business and IT groups.

• Risk Management Group (Internal Audit Division):
The Risk Management Group is an independent, centralised unit responsible for assessing and monitoring risks across the Macquarie Group. The objective of the Internal Audit division is to provide independent assurance to senior management that risks are being adequately managed through the assessment of risks and reviewing the effectiveness of key controls. Interns will join the IT Audit team where they will deliver and report on audits using agreed Internal Audit methodology and professional standards, with a focus on Information Technology risks for core and business specific systems.


Requirements

We look for students from a broad range of disciplines including: computer science, engineering (all disciplines), information technology, information systems, maths, physics, sciences and combined degrees such as business/information technology.
